January of 2008 gave us an explosion of new friends, new direction and new hopes for a bright new year… January 2009 gave us Down with the King.
It all started on the muggy evening of June 7th, 2008. The great island of Manhattan was buzzing for the first ever Zedalza NYC Meet-Up. While Frank, of Zedalza New York, went inside Time Square’s Hard Rock Café to make reservations for dinner, he was flagged down by Sebastian of Positive Feelings Rule, who was also in attendance at this star-studded evening.
“Hey, man, I think that guy, King, just got here. He is outside in the street with the boys,” Sebastian said.
“Oh Christ,” Frank muttered, knowing that this could be either the start of a great personal relationship or, quite possibly, his last night on earth.
You see, the Zedalza Boyz always loved messing around with the thought that King was just trying to be friendly enough so that they would agree to hang out with him…then he would make his move and stab them to death, fulfilling a long-awaited, sick fantasy.
Alas, the boyz lived to tell the tale of the first time they met King in Time Square, accompanied by his confidant of many years, the man they came to name after one of their favorite characters on the silver screen, Mr. Frankie Robinson, a.k.a. “Frankie Figgs”.
The electric combination of King and Figgs are undeniable – a modern day Bonnie and Clyde. It’s black vs. white! It’s wrong and it’s right! You can watch these two all night!
So, keep your butt holes tight and your “postrate” in check – King and Figgs have arrived.
